The Mango Tree

The Mango Tree is our coffee shop which operates each Saturday and at other times throughout the year. So, why ‘The Mango Tree’? It’s just about the first question everyone asks. Well, what we have set out to do is create a place where people from the community can come together, have refreshments, relax and enjoy the company.

We wanted a name that symbolised that and someone told us that in many African villages the community meets together under the shade of a large mango tree. That was our inspiration to call our coffee bar ‘The Mango Tree’ and we hope it proves to be a place where many from Greenisland get together.

As for our church, we want to show that we are a part of this community, not just people who come here on Sunday and disappear for the rest of the week. Through the ‘Mango Tree’ and other programmes we have we want to play our part in Greenisland.

Verse of the Day
[Life Through the Spirit] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2
