Greenisland Baptist Church was formed in October 1996 by a small group of Christians. From small beginnings, the church has grown considerably and we acquired the local health centre, which we converted, renovated and opened in September 2000 as our first permanent home.

When you come to GBC for the first time, you might feel that everybody knows everybody else. Yet most folks did not know each other when they first came to GBC. Relationships have been built and friendships have been formed through the church. GBC encourages prayer for and encouragement of each other. We rejoice together when things go well and support each other when times get tough. The church is made up of people from all walks of life - employed and unemployed, single parents and married couples, young and old(er).

You won't find any super-saints in our church. We are ordinary people who have discovered the love of God personally and who want to show that love to others in practical and meaningful ways. If we can help you in any way please don't hesitate to get in touch.
